Destinations | Kelso & Happy Wanderers
| Rated: Beach - Beginner >> Expert Location Rated: Point - Expert only location Kelso is 65km South of Durban and offers excellent conditions in both the NE'erly and SW'erly winds. Head South out of Durban and take the Park Rynnie turn off. Athe the lights go right and take the Kelso turn off approximately 7km later. The safest and most convenient location is to pay for a day pass and park inside the caravan park. Both spots have rocks - especially on the point and ik you are kiting in the NE'erly the rocks are downwind from you. If you are blown on to the point go around the point there is a sandy beach approx 1km further down. The point provides some of the best and longest waves around, and it you get it on a good withe swell and a clean SW you are in for a treat! |
